What if it’s not working because that’s not how you were designed?

I’ve been out of alignment in some really important ways and I finally figured out why!

I operate according to my vision and my values so that I can have serenity in my life. And for the most part I have. But when it comes to my business, something was feeling…off.

I’m in the middle of a challenge with a coach (I can’t tell you the number of coaches I’ve worked with at this point) and she’s brilliant. I know that what she teaches works but something about it felt like I was trying too hard to do something or be someone I’m not.

That’s the thing about working with coaches that you have to be careful about. You always want to be you in the process of learning from them. Somewhere along the way, my head just got too cluttered with all the “expert” advice.

Then I came across a book or rather a couple of books written by Juliette Stapleton. I think she just changed my life in less than 3 chapters.

Until now, I was completely unfamiliar with the idea of Human Design, but I have completely fallen down a rabbit hole. I’m not going to explain what it is, I wouldn’t do it justice, but I can tell you what I did and how it just changed everything.

I had been feeling for a while like I’d lost my voice trying to follow this or that coach’s content structure and it felt like so much work. Nothing just flowed.

So after starting my reading of Stapleton, I took a quiz that would give me my Human Design chart but that’s not where the magic happened. The real beauty came when I used AI to interpret what my chart means for me specifically. (I’ll give you the exact prompt I used too.)

Why should you care about any of this?

Because this thing was so spot on accurate that I felt like a fog had been lifted. It confirmed things I’ve been feeling. It made my decision-making easier. It brought an overwhelming sense of confidence because I’m even more clear on how I was made by God to navigate this world.

People think of stuff like this as woo woo or ungodly but I wholeheartedly disagree. I can see how having this knowledge will make me a better servant, a better human, and most importantly, a better, more emotionally-healthy mom.

I downloaded the PDF of my chart and added it to ChatGPT, my LLM of preference, with this shockingly simple prompt:

Can you analyze a Human Design chart?

It responded with yes and gave me the full run down and that’s when my nerd brain went nuts.

So now here’s another prompt and after you take the quiz, I want you to use it and see what results it gives. Then come back here and tell me what revelations you got from it.

Tell me how my design influences my decisions as a mom and the blindspots it reveals that could be impacting my relationship with my son and my communication style.

I’ll share one revelation from my analysis that is 1000% percent accurate:

You can be too hard on yourself when things don’t go right the first time. Because your 5-line projects “fixer energy,” people (including your son) may expect you to have all the answers. When you don’t, you may feel like you’ve failed instead of realizing this is how you’re wired to learn.

In communication, this can show up as talking too much to explain or “fix” something instead of pausing, learning, and returning with a clearer, calmer response later.

The most important thing I’ve learned from this is sometimes, even the best advice doesn’t work for you–not because it doesn’t work, but because it works against your natural Human Design.

So now I’m back in the flow with creating my content. I’m confident about the decisions over my offers and where I spend my time and energy. And I’m ready to go enjoy the rest of my weekend. You do the same!
